About this event

  • 2 hours

Join us for an exciting and interactive event, the Citizen Science Showcase, where we celebrate the power of collaboration between researchers and the public! Discover more about how these projects work, and how you might make them your own.

A series of rapid fire lightning talks will be followed by an opportunity to sign up to an art or flash fiction workshop with two of our excellent speakers, peruse the OurOutdoors Stall and chat with Sammy, or to book in for a one on one chat with one of our wonderful participatory researchers.

Date: Wednesday, June 5, 2024

Time: 6PM GMT

Location: The Project Room, 50 George Square The University of Edinburgh

[NOTE NEW VENUE!]

You'll have the opportunity to engage directly with researchers, explore fascinating projects, and learn about diverse fields of study.

We will then have the opportunity to continue the conversation over drinks and nibbles. Even better, you will be able to sign up to a workshop run by Bryan or Frankie, or book some one-on-one time with project specialists as part of the second half of the event: our library of people. Whether you want to ask about their career, the design of their projects, or the discoveries they have made, these ten-minute slots are a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of involvement in research.
